The Second Tower rises above Camp 2 with the summit tantalizingly close. Our line goes up the shaded ramp and around the backside of the tower. This section was very dangerous from rockfall due to a dry season—a fact that was brought home by the body of a climber at it's base who died the previous year when his rappel rope was chopped.
